From the Slopes of Mount Elgon

In the lush highlands of Mount Elgon, our Terra Vesta sourcing team had the privilege of meeting with smallholder coffee farmers whose dedication and resilience continue to define Uganda’s specialty coffee landscape. The visit to Mbale gave us a firsthand look at the unique microclimate and rich volcanic soils that produce some of the country's most sought-after Arabica beans.

Walking through the terraced hillsides, we spoke with farmers who shared stories of generations of coffee cultivation, their methods of organic farming, and their deep connection to the land.
